Petro-Canada’s CALFLO LT is a high efficiency, long life, non-toxic heat transfer fluid. It’s specially developed for systems that require single fluid heating and cooling. CALFLO LT is a mixture of synthetic and restructured hydrocarbons in combination with patented oxidation inhibitors. CALFLO LT is recommended for heat transfer systems that require high thermal efficiency over a wide temperature range from -40° C to 260° C (-40° F to 500° F).

Applications
CALFLO LT is recommended for use in non-pressurized, indirectly heated, liquid phase heat transfer systems that use the same fluid for both heating and cooling. Recommended operating temperature range for normal operation is between - 40° C to 260° C (- 40° F to 500° F). Applications include exothermic or endothermic reactions in chemical and pharmaceutical plants as well as refinery operations such as grease plants.
CALFLO LT is recommended for heat transfer systems that are subject to low temperature shutdown conditions. Excellent low temperature properties ensure good pumpability under extreme conditions with no compromise in heat transfer performance. For applications below 5° C (41° F), system parameters and operating conditions should be reviewed with Petro-Canada to determine the suitability of the product for the particular system under consideration.
